This is 2026. Everything gets a reboot. The war in the middle east, games, movies, everything.

Could we please pass on the third installment of the World War franchise?

I understand it was a global hit, but it was too loud for my taste.

They're not rebooting they're making a remake of the first game and a sequel to Underworld. Games journalism isn't a real job.

at this point, human beings in the games industry that aren't VC or executives are fully devalued. i think that's as good of a sign as ever to ditch AAA altogether and put your talents to much greater use with indie studios.

I feel like for the big studios, the game industry is very much like the auto industry. If they want to operate like this fine, but maybe do a scheduled furlough while they shut down the plant during slow times?

I’m not a fan of that model either, but at least it’s more honest than hiring somebody With the promise of a career and laying them off when the game is done.
