The layoffs at one of your studios most able to ship games is a bonkers, stupid decision; but pivoting Obsidian to making a new Fallout game is a good business decision if you don't care about what your creatives feel led to create.

Fallout: London developers Team FOLON have announced that work on their next game is going "swimmingly", despite some delays to the mod's second DLC.

Double Feature, a Fallout 4 quest mod made for charity by a group of high-profile modders and Elder Scrolls voice actor Wes Johnson, is out now.

Bethesda doesn't know if Fallout 76 will ever move beyond America, but does give "a special shout-out to Fallout London" for making the dream a reality

FO4 BA2 Limit? (lemmy.world)

How do you get around this annoying limit without having to unzip every BA2 archive? I don't recall ever having a problem like this before.

I've tried Addictol (successor to Buffout) but no luck

Edit: Addictol is working. The problem was a DLL that randomly caused CTDs.

Hey everyone, I noticed some weird things on the world map in Fallout 4 that completely contradict the lore:

  • US and Canada: Why are they still divided by a border? According to the lore, the US fully annexed Canada in 2076 after years of occupation.

  • USSR vs. Russia/CIS: Why do we see the modern borders of the Russian Federation and CIS countries instead of the Soviet Union? In the Fallout universe, the USSR never dissolved and lasted until the Great War of 2077.

  • The Mediterranean Sea: And most importantly, what happened to the Mediterranean? It's filled with the same green color as the land, just like the Black, Caspian, and Baltic seas. Could the Atlantropa project have been implemented in the Fallout timeline?

Is there an in-game lore explanation for this? Or is it just lazy developers?

Anybody else ready for the masses of people who 100% believe a new Fallout title (or the remaster) will be revealed and watch the madness unfold like in the Half-Life fandom? I mean, the chances are never zero but I'd rather be surprised than disappointed for the millionth time.

Based on this in-game Chinese propaganda poster from the Operation: Anchorage DLC, it looks like the PLA (People's Liberation Army) was actually the first to deploy the Gauss rifle in Alaska. Is that lore-accurate? Did the US military only start using Gauss tech after capturing and reverse-engineering Chinese models?
