You should tune down the flame/power after it boils, the water will just continue to boil for long (or you can even put a lid and it should boil for a lot more without turning the heat, never did it because i forget to try every time tho, lol)

This is a thing as old as wifi itself, whoever uses public wifi without a VPN and DNS over HTTPS is an idiot (Well, i wouldn't use a public wifi anyway if i have to login to accounts tbh)

Is your pot really tiny or you put too much water? I don't see how it's possible that it boills over, only if you negkect it for a lot but at that point, the pasta is ruined too probably

And oil will not do anything else other than making your sauce not stick properly to the pasta

LLMs are NNs for whoever is wondering btw

Edit: i wanna add that NNs used specifically for translations are way less impactful on the enviroment, i don't know how deepl got the data but google would crowdsource them because it's just wayy easier to do with something so specific and gives higher quality than stolen stuff

Pray tell what AI isn't trained on ❝large contested data❞

Search Engines (no, i don't mean that bullshit google did, i mean any search engine before 2020), reccomendation systems(many other algorithms too), OCR, etc etc

🧵, blatantly. But asset diffusers from stolen assets are also highly discouraged, as they are illegal, and it demonstrated the planet the two classes than ever before: corporate power can lobby copyright infringement, while everyone else cannot. Many hate it for quality reasons. I hate it because it's fascism in its purest form: appropriating assets without consent

I can only agree, i will be a "fan" of LLMs only when someone decide to train them with data collected legally, which no one does apparently, i hope it gets easy and economic to train LLMs, even stupid ones on your own data, so i could train one on my git repos or some documentation

Edit: removed "translation" because i forgot that they use (ofc) NNs

I discovered about Lemmy and Piefed devs opinions and views which i not agree with¹, so i was thinking of using Mbin², i looked in to join mbin website and idk what to choose, there is a big instance which i want to avoid³ and idk if the smaller ones are stable, any suggestion?

1 Piefed is also made with Python which isn't the fastest language and i hate reading python codebases lmao

2 Please don't tell me that the devs are nazis or smth 😭

3 joining a big instance kinda defeat the purpose of the fediverse tbh

    Perchance

Soo, i was searching for a SearXNG alternative since it's an hassle to customize the UI, it's also slow and i didn't found much to be honest

The only things i found is Websurfx which look like vibecoded (at least, the readme look like it was wrote by a clanker and in the contributions there is an AI agent)

    Do anyone have any suggestion?

Edit: i'd like to not spend money on a search engine tbh...that's why i'd like to self-host or use a public instance

Edit 2: i found out about those:

    https://github.com/Ahwxorg/LibreY (kinda dead tbh)

https://git.bwaaa.monster/omnisearch (works but some engines don't)

    Edit 3: parentesis

Edit 4: Degoog may be the solution, i am still open to other solutions tho

So, i was thinking...they for sure will not allow you to use your face to verify multiple accounts (just like how you can't use your email or phone number to verify on multiple accounts) otherwise everyone would just use the same image to bypass the age verification so how do identical twins do? I am sure that AIs (and human operators too, tbf) will just guess that it's the same person

Minecraft is easy to pirate...but why? Well to answer you: there is 0 effort to pirate it, download the client.jar from mojang official APIs (which is totally FREE) and run the jar without using any valid session ID, done! What...that's too easy, were is the catch? Well you can't have a skin, you can't play minecraft servers that don't allow un-authenticated users and anyone can use the same user without any password
Is that really piracy? I mean i am using a free thing, not messing with microslop shit and servers - yes i did read mojang eula and no- it's not against it.
So i wonder: can we not call it piracy? Dunno...i leave the words to y'all!

Edit: i don't think it's piracy because when you buy minecraft they give you an account to login in their auth servers, but you don't even need to use the auth servers to access the game, just to use realms, access servers that don't allow non authenticated users etc etc

Action and Stuff (called also AnS), is a marketplace addon that became popular soon as you know, they even got inspiration from a lot of Java mods, as results it got annoying having a community of a mod that give inspiration to AnS or a mod that has some similiar features, even if said mod came before AnS! I swear...just look at Hold My Items youtube comments! Luckly people are doing it less, but still... Action and Stuff was great because it made famous some concept but now it's annoyong doing something with similiar concept because their fans will just attack you

    Cross-social app (feddit.it)

So, i was wondering if anyone know a mobile app that can communucate with other fediverse social other than Lemmy, right now i just found apps that let you search only lemmy instances but i would like to search cobtent from other places too! Like pixelfed etc etc with a single account (isn't that the point of the fediverse?). I know that by using my instance website i can do it but i'd like to have an app.
