I don’t think it’s any secret or controversial opinion that the Joycon 2 joystick is awful. Even shying away from the drift issue the sticks themselves are awful to use.

Im looking for recommendations for solid , Joycon with better sticks that actually connect to the switch 2 not a glorified grip that uses Bluetooth.

Not quite the answer you're seeking- but there are always Gulikit's TMR stick replacements for the joycons.

Mobapad makes the best joycons IMO, have the Switch 1 ones and they are hall effect and feel tight and responsive

Out of curiosity, would theirs be any good for PC usage?

I thought a joycon might be a nice remote to play "low engagement" games like visual novels on a TV, where it feels odd to carry a heavy 8-button controller. But mine (Switch 1 joycons) have unpaired themselves during use frequently.

I'd think for something like a VN where you just need to literally press one button to proceed, i would think something like a IINE Gamebrick Controller or 8Bitdo Zero 2 would make more sense and come in at a much lower price point.

Is it best to buy direct from them ? How did the shipping process go. I’ve only heard of them this week don’t see many of their products on any store sites I frequent

Those sticks are so short, hate em! I think the problem with most alternative controllers is that the Switch 2 won't let any of them wake the console.

I don't have much experience with any third party Joycon, but SwitchUp guys recently mentioned Nyxi Hyperion 3 in one of their videos (it was sponsor of the video, so take that as you may - here's the link to video: https://youtu.be/YvL7thsQnu8?t=29).

Edit: @sbbq@lemmy.zip These can apparently wake up Switch 2 too.
