Hp was loved, by myself, too. But even then, I'm not sure I'd ever thought of hp as great, just "comfortably decent enough".

But yeah, jkr is a fucking monster.

I have always felt that she created a more interesting world than the story she told. I don't mind the HP story, I love hogwarts and the wizarding world

I also have no issues with JKR and find calling her a "monster" rather ridiculous

Well now we all know where you stand on civil rights. Thanks for your opinion.

Just because I don't think she is a monster doesn't mean I believe trans people shouldn't have rights.

But when people asking me to make a ridiculous claim I tend to stand opposed to the ridiculous claim.

Then you haven't been paying attention.

JKR is not just some writer who happens to be transphobic. There are plenty of distasteful writers I still enjoy - the difference is they didn't turn their bigotries into a project.

She has made transphobia into her whole life. It is her primary political goal. It is what she spends her money and time on.

Elon Musk (who disowned his own daughter after she transitioned) complained that JKR's Twitter contributions were too obsessed with trans people.

On your first point. You are 100% correct. I haven't really been paying attention. Mostly just read a few headlines here and there.

I'll take a bit more of a look into it to be honest.

(Also - what is wrong with disowning a kid? I have tons of friends who "don't talk to their parents anymore" for this reason or that)

Not a ridiculous claim if you have the discussion and learn.

Why are you even here talking to me? To disagree? Can't stand by and be disagreed with? Gotta start some shit on the internet because your life is too good?

Nah. It's because this is a discussion that you have an interest in. Don't act all shy and disconnected, when your words and your stance say otherwise.

I didn't ask you for anything. You came here and disagreed on your own free will. Now ain't that curious.
