Isn't an appeal to tradition or a moral preference statement, which you seem to interpreted it as.. It was just questioning your expectations. They are simply pointing out that you judged the trailer for being something it was never expected to be. I simply judged the argument of "that's usually what is done". That's not a good argument. I don't have much against the trailer itself, can we let that part go? I only here oppose the argument of "everybody does it".
