If you are on Linkedin and think of verifying your account, you may wish to read this first.

TL;DR:

There are 17 companies that receive your data if you want Linkedin's blue checkmark, 16 sit in the US and 1 in Canada, none is in the EU
In addition to your name, selfie, passport photo, Linkedin collects things like your NFC data chip, IP address, device type, MAC address, browser, OS version, location (based in the IP
Linkedin also tracks whether you pause during the process, and whether you paste information instead of typing it
They cross-reference you data consumer credit agencies, mobile phone provider, utility companies, ...
Based on 'legitimate interest' (not consent), Linkedin forwards your data to train bots (Anthropic, OpenAI, Groqcloud)
