Convert Outlooks' horrendous .pst file to standard .vcf vCard and import to any vCard compatible client (your phone, radicale, thunderbird, etc.)

Why I made this?

I decided to move my whole org to ThunderBird to be free from forced proprietary formats. And I created this Java CLI app (Because Java had the java-libpst to work with PST files) to do it. I converted ~500 contacts successfully and we are free from Outlook at last.

This has worked for us, and I tried to make it as robust as possible. If you see any issues, please open an issue or PR.

LLM disclaimer: I used OpenCode + BigPickle to create this but I wouldn't call it vibecoded. I spent ~2 days on it so far and let the LLM help me. Hope it helps.

This project isnt finished enough to compare to Microsoft Office. This is intended to demonstrate client-side managed functionality. Allowing users to get started without setup.

I have a demo version for testing. It isnt ready to replace any existing app or service, but it would be great to get your feedback on it.

The implementation is based on the functionality described in a previous post.

Issue and PR threads are invaluable documentation for a project, it's difficult to migrate to another code host when years of knowledge are locked into your old hosting service. So I built a couple of scripts to archive issues, pull requests, comments, and source code from github repositories, and to turn them into static sites! With the accelerating exodus away from github, I've heard from a lot of people that there aren't any good tools for archiving that knowledge in a human-readable format, so I thought this would be a useful tool to make. The initial release is ready, and just in time for github to start charging for self-hosted runners!

If you try it out, let me know what you think. There's definitely areas that can be improved on :)
