That was my first instance. Turns out it's the star trek has gotten too woke kind of people running it?! Ah well, llap π
I agree my initial comment was oversimplified, but what you say is not fact but only concern contradicts Apple's own statements about what data they share with 3rd parties under the Apple Intelligence product.
If putting "OpenAI must process your information solely for the purpose of fulfilling your request and not store your information or any responses it provides unless required under applicable laws. OpenAI also must not use your information to improve or train its models." on their website is enough of a guarantee for you that OpenAI won't do what they please, then good luck.
Your consent is still required, but Apple is making promises about anonymity and privacy they simply can't guarantee when sending data to a 3rd party server.
Apple is using its years of marketing as a privacy forward company just to put one of the worst technologies for privacy a tap away from uninformed users. (E.g. my parents who will tap 'OK' on every popup thrown at them.) After years of headlines of how dangerous consulting LLMs for health concerns can get, Apple launches ChatGPT integration in Apple Health.
Additionally Apple has made promises to be carbon neutral by 2030, impossible if we start to measure the true cost of Apple Intelligence. Unless of course we just blame that on Google or OpenAI. You know, like Foxcon was responsible for the suicide nets and horrendous conditions in the iPhone factories.
For more than a decade Apple has trained its employees on supplier responsibilities, ethical code of conduct and marketed their privacy and environmental causes. None of these values are compatible with OpenAI or Google, who are now running Siri and Apple Intelligence.
But not before giving the LLMs access to some of the most personal data stored on people's devices, betraying their long standing promise of caring about privacy.
Rare does not mean it's valuable, these books are sold in bulk for a reason.
While I don't condone or support shipping books around the world to scan and shred so some LLM can bullshit better, sensationalising this as humanity loosing unique and precious knowledge is a bit overblown.
You can't just say perchance
But there is
Settings > Security & Privacy > Device Unlock > Fingerprint and there you can toggle to use the fingerprint for device unlocking and/or verification in Apps
Greatest result anyone has ever seen, they couldn't believe it at first but it's true they had to count it again and the dems were crying "stop the count, stop the count" remember that? But they kept counting and we got 96% it's the highest number ever and the people wanted it so badly because they love me you love me don't you so they told me it's actually 98% now and it's just getting better and better and people are crying because they're so happy about it some don't believe it but it's true we did it 99.4% they say the highest number of all times truly amazing
Okay but to be fair, he won't be elected for his third term
Yeah because everyone else is stupid but me
I was 13 and a prick once, I guess I get it
Badmiral is mad they got caught. What a snowflake.
If this pisses you off because I took your toy away, if this triggers you because, god forbid, people just have to hear the violent crazies no matter what, fine, I donβt care.
Always, always, always, projection with these people
Nordic as in Sweden, Norway or Finland no. I saw it mpre broadly as Northern Europe, including Austria as that's what the article is about.
In Austria the limited statistics say that on average 60 cases are reported daily where police uses excessive force. https://www.derstandard.at/story/3000000030899/gew-wie-steht-es-mit-der-polizeigewalt-in-oesterreich
Germany has been performing border controls that are illegal, and continues to do so. https://www.br.de/nachrichten/bayern/gericht-erklaert-grenzkontrollen-in-drei-faellen-fuer-rechtswidrig,VODHEOi
Also Amnesty has reported several times about the racist police brutality in Germany. https://www.amnesty.de/aktuell/deutschland-polizeigewalt-rassismus-lorenz-nelson
And the laws that are being changed by the government to give police the carte blanche to go further and ignore more of the constitution. https://www.amnesty.de/pressemitteilung/deutschland-bundespolizeigesetz-modernisierung-gesetzesentwurf-kritik
