I do know that it is the first one but still, my shampoo smells really appetising and just like the real thing...but every time I eat a really tasty/ aromatic fruit, my brain goes like "that tastes like my shampoo/ shower gel!"

Fruit evolved to mimic the smell of shampoo so people would rub it in their hair, helping spread the seeds.

When lavender infused foods got trendy twenty years ago, the first time I tried some lavender pound cake I spit it out because it tasted like soap. But I kept trying it, lavender tea, white chocolate, cakes, cookies, coffee. Eventually, lavender soap started to smell like tasty treats.
