I'm trying to follow Trumps logic here (I realize this is a fool's errand, of course) but maybe someone can help me out.

The foundation consists of a board of five Swedish or Norwegian citizens, with its seat in Stockholm. All prizes are awarded in ceremonies in Stockholm, except for the Peace Prize which is awarded at a ceremony in Oslo, Norway.

This part makes sense. I'm still trying to figure out where Denmark, and thus Greenland come in.

Trump feels snubbed by the Nobel foundation and blames...Denmark(!?!?) who administers and kinda oversees Greenland (their relationship is complex). And thus Trump feels entitled to annex Greenland if he wants.

It seems that by this logic I am entitled to steal your car in the grocery store parking lot because I've had at least eight sandwiches before.

I fully understand that the real reason Trump wants Greenland is to have free reign to acquire resources and of course I am against any imperialism. What I don't understand is how he is connecting Greenland and Denmark to the peace prize. Does he just group all Scandinavians together and not understand they are different countries? What is his internal logic beyond 'daddy never loved me.'

He's become like the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland. Everything requires a singular response. "Off with their heads!" It's like he's not smart enough or emotionally mature enough to consider another response, let along a more subtle response. It's like he needs to prove to everyone he is a strongman by yelling at everyone within earshot that he is strong. Methinks he doth protest too much.

Of course, it's to get the fentanyl and cocaine out of the oil before it's imported, right?

If there's a way, no matter how small, for the Dems to squander this opportunity and wrestle defeat from the jaws of victory, they will leave no bland page of the most moderate and uninspiring speech unread to a near empty chamber.
