Was he actually Italian though? As in, speaking Italian, having an Italian passport etc.? Y'all Americans have weird definitions of nationality, just having a foreign sounding last name isn't really enough...

    nah, rolled ankles happen when there's little support around the ankle and when you walk with sidewards momentum. Boots stabilize the ankle really well and at that height, you basically walking on stilts rather than heels (plus the sole is rounded to guide your momentum forwards). It's surprisingly comfortable, as long as you don't stand still for too long.

    1. Quickly try to guess whether alcohol is okay in this person's culture and whether they would have reasonably gotten drunk.

    2. Pretend to be hung over for as long as possible to stall for time.

    4. Find out their banking details (or call in their banker) and transfer all their money to a good cause.

    My parents regularly did go through my things when I was living with them, and I did get in trouble for the most random things they found. Not a great feeling, but at least they don't have a spare key for my current apartment.
