I just want instructions to follow. I can maybe for the hardware but finding the stories is another thing.
I see their site has links to all the stories but I'm not sure how to call one at random and format out only the story.

Thanks. Just Settings user tags was off for me (by default?). I was about to move apps.
I use the version before the change. There's some easy instructions to run it as a Linux package (? Sorry not sure of the terminology) as android can do that. The only issue is you dont have a direct GUI and need to use the web interface. I believe its much smaller and more efficient than any app, not to mention uses the "official" version.
Looks like its this. https://short-edition.com/en/p/short-story-dispenser
Wish it was open sourced.
This is something that I still don't get. Most info says it doesn't matter what instanc you joined but I never liked the content in my home instance.
The advice is always that you can move instances. So I moved to this one where I followed a lot of the content. But there is no built in way to port over the content you follow. So I had to use a script I found on GirHub.
Then I got Mastadon to see what was going on there. I realised soon that that the content I was following on mastason was the same as Lemmey.
Now moving to PieFed (were I'll still see the same content) as it has better cross posting visibility.
At least this is what i understand.
So then what would I see different on Mbin, or how I supposed to use Masterson different to Lemmy.
*note that see the same content dosnt apply to whatever instances have been defederared (in either direction) from your home.
From one of their 4 posts "Is it possible for someone in America to not know who Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi is?".
So I'd say yes.
Or possibly they are 14
That's simply not true. You don't HAVE to sit down and stop everything to enjoy a movie or film.
Grandma knitted through everything and still enjoyed it. So it dodn't have to be seen. The same goes for vision impaired. The same goes for washing the dishes or any task on auto pilot.
I'm also sure the Spanish soap opera where a breakup scene goes for 5 episodes can be walked in and out of without someone coming back in and going "oh damn I'm so lost what's happening." Later seasons of Walking Dead are much the same. So is Big Bang Theory.
What about music? Must an album be listened to in full without doing anything? A radio song played out before turning off the car.
I digress. People can enjoy things in a different way to you my dude.
If you have a nuro spicy friend that won't sit still and watch a movie from start to end with you maybe find something else to do.
But it feels like your not REALLY asking a question here and accepting answer's. You just want to stand on a soapbox and say "THIS IS HOW I ENJOY AN ACTIVITY AND THINK IT IS DONE. YOU MUST DO IT LIKE ME".

I can see it on the NZ PieFed instance. Interestingly on Lemmy/Voyager I can't see that it's a cross post, nor the original post text UNLESS I go to reply to the post.
I'm not defending this shit by any means but I am partly conflicted.
It's fine to talk with your money and take it elsewhere. However, I wonder what the CEOs and staff of other VPNs spend their money on and how far this goes.
Say this Mullvad dude donated 10% of his income to the campaign. If your local vape store guy, McDonalds owner or whoever gave 10% of theor income to man-o-sphere influencers or right wing parties (as is probably common) would people be as outraged and walk? Or is it lower stakes and doesn't matter?
I guess ultimately, as a root issue, people shouldn't able to make and hord wealth like this, nor fund politicians.
Again not defending this but it's just made me think about some things.
The name of the Mad Max 2 ( or Road Warrior) character pictured.
Its not gay. Not at all.
Interesting
Build Verification* — cryptographic checks (F-Droid/Izzy reproducible builds and GitHub Release Attestations) flag manipulated binaries before install. ObtainX's own updates carry GitHub attestations too
Although some of the options, as a guess, seem to use AI (?).
Seems like a win though if thw dev can be trusted.
