If you could make a clone of yourself that has all your memories etc, would you do it? You wouldn't know which one of you was the clone and you'd only have one set of government documents etc, so you would share your drivers license, government ids, tax returns, bank accounts, etc. Would you do it?

    Devils advocate, but given this was a two word response to another tweet, it's possible that something was misinterpreted here. For instance that response could be about billionaires who pay no taxes losing their right to vote (which I can get onboard with). This kind of just feels like rage bait.

    My current workflow is passing a human written spec to an agent to implement with strict coding guidelines, architectural decisions, etc. The agent isn't making any decisions about the abstractions to use, it's just creating the objects and test suites. So I don't mind the slower bandwidth because I'm running the heavy agentic lifting over night with no need for human supervision.

    But I fully appreciate that my workflow isn't the norm. In fact my workflow it's the exact opposite the AI grifters like Sam Altman are selling because it still involves a human with knowledge of the systems making different decisions.

    I made, "Strait to War", where you have to get a tanker through the Strait of Hormuz. You can't pick your side, you just spawn in as either a tanker, an Iranian drone, or a US frigate. You have an objective but there is no real winning the game. It's an anti-war game disguised as a war game.

    Sound doesn't work yet. Let me know what you think. I will add Iranian speed boats next. And I have no idea how it will scale with lots of users.

    I feel like on mainstream social media this is done pretty thoughtlessly and it's a norm but on Lemmy, with the much smaller userbase, I kinda felt like... it's like riding on someone else's coat tails?     The Canada US border along the Detroit river should move 250km north to reduce tariffs for the automotive industry (lemmy.ca)
     

    This may be an unpopular opinion but we should consider moving the Canada / US border 250km north along the Detroit river. Moving the border north 250km would reduce the amount of cross border trips for the automotive industry negating a lot of the tariff issues. And I don't think the geniuses ruling the US would realize that moving the border north along this stretch would result in Canada gaining over 9000km² of land.

    The reason this may be unpopular is because Canada would inherit the Detroit Red Wings.
