I recently got one of these scrubbers for cleaning grills and want to share how great it is.

  • Made by Destin from the Smarter Every Day YT channel and his business partner.
  • Almost entirely manufactured in the US (something we sorely need more of today)
  • The head can be taken apart and replaced if you ever need to (but really, that's going to be a long time I think...)
  • Replaces those crappy home store grill cleaners that fall apart and don't last 1 year
  • It's $60 USD or so but I think worth it

I don't work for this company, I own one of these scrubbers and so far, it's been a great tool which I believe will last a long time.

Interesting but manufactured in the US has significant negative appeal for me right now due to the whole government situation. Maybe when maga is flushed away.

    That chain mail on the head is absolutely going to wear out and need replacement.

    How the hell can you claim the metal bristle ones wear out after only a year but this untested $60 one will last longer?

    I’m going to wear out the head in 2 years and they’ll want $30+shipping to replace it.

    You honestly think you're going to wear out chainmail in under a year? You must never sleep. Only grill.

    And the universe would eventually succumb to entropy, so what? We're talking about stainless. Which is likely harder than your grill. Which would get used what, like a dozen or so times a year?

    I bet that chain would outlast me. For sure my grill. Definitely a wire brush. And last a year, easy.

    He highlights in his video that the bristles of those wire brushes cause emergency surgery when mistakenly ingested as brushing the grill with them has show that they break off. This is part of the "replace every year" and is something those cheaper brushes even sticker onto their handles.

    He didn't claim they wear out in a year, the brushes themselves do. Please try watching both parts of the video. Even if you disagree, it's interesting and highlights a problem with losing knowledge in the tooling industry.

    Looks like a slashvertisement to me, lol. Harbor Freight spinning wire brush in a cordless drill should clean a grill instantly.

    Wire brush bristles can come off, stick to a grill, transfer to your steak, and best case scenario stab you in the mouth... Ask me how I know. Worst case you intestine.

    Stick to the biodegradable fibre ones, or this seems like and ok option.

    But for the love of god, do not use a wire brush.

    Hmm interesting, I don't use a grill so haven't faced this problem, but I do see wire grill brushes made by grill companies at the hardware store:

    I wonder if a pressure washer would be good for getting rid of remaining particles.

    Turns out the wires from those brushes can get stuck into gunk on the grill, that then makes it into the food you are eating. How often might that occur? Don’t know, don’t care to check, as I do not own a grill.

    I’m not sure how a new product could be BIFL though.
