I went to the Thursday night drinks at the community club. Finally starting to feel comfortable around groups of people, maybe I’m making new friends. It would be good to have friends again.

I pruned my big ass sunflowers today. I have a few tied to my fence and they're just growing wild. I have a knotweed issue and I read that giant sunflowers can be non-invasive cane shields.

I saw the gender clinic. They’re going to take me on as a patient. Which is nice. At least for a short while while I figure out my identity and whether I want to start hormones to medically transition.

Tomatoes are starting to come in (technically have been coming in over the last week or so) but not so many. That's fine!

I planted some basil in the pot in the backroom to have something there again and it's already growing which is nice.

Family friend with a 3D printer printed me a small sleeping bulbasaur planter and pondering what to put in there. A succulent probably.

The Tempest was really good. They were very subversive with the opening scene. I’ve watched a video essay and two college lectures on the play in the past day lol.

New washing machine arrived. At least solves one problem.

Now to send the old one to repair shop, again.

Tired as well, bad sleep for the nearly whole week, really busy day at work, even training was worse than usual.

But at least new season in Path of exile starts tomorrow. Should boost the mood a little.

Rainy day, perfect for spending time in the garage and fixing motorbikes, but instead of focusing on it my mind insists on working on a business plan.

After our move to Berlin was cancelled we've been thinking about different options with the SO (both of us are unemployed at the moment) and came up with the idea of setting up a amall independent book & other cool things shop (used and new books, zines, prints, stickers, art, rugs, tapestry, etc focusing on independent publishers and artists). We bought an old Chevy that we are fixing, it will work as our camper / mobile book shop when going to events and festivals. Our goal is to get things rolling before the end of the year, perhaps do a pop-up thing while looking at possible spaces for the shop. I know it's not going to be easy trying to make ends meet, but hopefully it'll feel like we are spending our time and resources on something useful and inspiring instead of making profit for faceless corporations.

This has occupied my mind for the last 1,5 months or so and it's impossible switching the "work mode" off. It's inspiring but very draining at the same time. Would be nice to enjoy the summer and choose to think of other things but nah, hyperfocus + monotropism it is.

I just accepted a chairperson position for the upcoming primary election in the major city near me. It pays pretty well, and I need the money. I've worked as an election official in that city during the 2020 general election, then a couple more elections in another city.

I'm nervous, I've not done well in supervisory roles in the past, but I'm going to give this my best shot.

Just visited the library to exchange some CDs and books for new ones, also had to grab some veggies from the grocery store. Felt very anxious already when leaving the house, but got everything done at least. Gotta start cooking soon, spagetti bolognese tonight. And tomorrow night.
