Fair, just misinterpreted then due to the context of the announcement saying it's only for a week. My apologies.
Take a principled position for 1 week and watch what happens.
As soon as a timeframe is added, the company will just ignore it, especially something as minor as a week. Boycott should not have an end date, only then would a company start to consider it and maybe try to do something to end it.
Technically pirated games can be put on a physical media and stored indefinitely, neither do those require online connection afterwards, so Sony cant just remove those and Sony won't be getting any money or user metrics for it either.
While not a perfect solution, it's a decent stopgap and will get more people on board than fully abstaining.
You really think government would just let you record their surveillance drones without any backlash?
Fuck yeah.
Finally, after 4½ years of training and almost a year of focusing on it. I finally did it, 6 clean, full range of motion, no insane arch, competition depth, controlled reps of bench pressing 2 plates(100kg/225lbs), roughly 177cm at 83kg/~15-18%(abs are still visible when flexed) bodyfat, so not going for the insane dirty bulking and massing way either. I'm finally in the beginner stage.
And don't arbitrary you dare to come and feed the voices in the back of my head that say it's nothing, that the avarage highschooler can do this or that any random person on social media is doing it for warm ups. I'm already working my ass off in trying to squash those myself.
Let me just ride that high for a short while before i squash it myself.
Because due to law of large numbers, it has worked for someone. The 99% who are disgusted by it are just a collateral damage. Of course it might have been a much more artistic picture of a dick, but that gets glossed over.
There's always the exhibition and degrading kink to consider as well. Flashers do exists and sending a random dick pick is rather easy. For the degrading kink, sending a random dick pick is sure way to get at least some insults or disgust effect.
There might be just ego or inflated self esteem in the play as well.
Though just for clarification, I'm not in any way defending it. I'm probably more baffled by most sexual behaviors than the average person. I have just been curious over the drivers of most sexual behaviors.
Sry that came out kinda long.
Honestly that's a good point, mind can be trained. I should try it again now that I've had some more practice with it.
It's one of the most recommended and accessible methods to deal with it. Mindfulness meditation or just taking time, sitting down and focusing on the bodily sensations is one one of the most recommended method to deal with alexithymia as over time it teaches the person to become more aware of their body and teaches to associate different bodily sensations with corresponding emotions. Other is some form of journaling as writing down different sensations and what was going on at that time can indicate what emotions i might have been experiencing at that time.
Of course it would be slightly more effective with a therapist, but as it is a years or more long process. The price of that can stack up rather high.
Personally I've been trying to use "Animi" app, which is specifically created for people with alexithymia. It combines both approachs with regular logging of different body signals and sitting down, focusing and taking time to reflect back. It does use a different approach than other emotional tracking apps as it already takes inro account that the user doesn't know what emotion they might be experiencing by starting to guess based on whatever sensations i might be having.
I wouldn't say hide, but more like just completely isolate, let everything go and run.
Constantly, it's one of the voices in the back of my head. It's constantly whispering * "run" ** "just give up" *, it's just the easiest solution to nearly everything and if it didn't work the first time. Do it again.
I assume yeah, it was mentioned more often back in school, but nowadays in adult life and having mostly the same friend and social group for more than a decade it's not something that people mention or rub it in regularly enough to be noticable.
Yeah your right, but this is a huge wall of text.
It will automatically push people away. It would be rather considerate to provide a basic TLDR, it will likely increase how many people will interact with it as well.
Which in turn will likely help you get an answer.
Technically yeah i practice mindfulness meditation, though not in standard way.
Mostly to help with my alexithymia(emotional blindness), learning to notice bodily sensations more can be helpful in figuring out what emotion i might be experiencing.
I've tried the typical of sitting still type of meditation, but it never really worked ADHD and such.
Then i started resistance training and over time i noticed that while I'm lifting. I have to focus on my body, i have to focus on breathing, i have to focus on keeping my attention on the weight and my body to make sure that the weight moves correctly and with control, that my form stays somewhat correct, that I'm using right muscles.
All of that works kinda like mindfulness meditation and has been helpful in teaching me to notice my bodily signal and how my mind works and eventually even slightly controlling or directing it to avoid negative spiraling.
