You need a batshit insane or exceedingly mid episode every now and again to make you really appreciate the good ones.

I think people need to understand is everything on screen is cannon but at the same time cannon can be ignored for the sake of story and theme.
Yes, Beverly fucked a ghost.
Still waiting on a reference in a live action Trek. Hoping SNW will mention him somewhere in the last 2 seasons.
Lower Decks doesn't need validation from live action Trek to be canon!
Wouldn't the fact that Boimler and Mariner crossed over make it canon?
It hurt to type that
Probably a good chance it'll show up in Tawny Newsome's upcoming project.
What are you gonna do, call the canon police? That actually sounds scary, I apologize.
I mean, from TOS, the Greek Gods are canonically real, and just fucked off to other planets at some point in human history.
Like, the ship and crew are literally held hostage by Apollo... and it just actually is the Apollo.
Also, they... kill him. They kill Apollo, or... banish him to the shadow realm, or something.

... I feel like I need a drink, just describing this.
Threshold was bitchen, man. And bonkers. Bitchen and bonkers.
The ghost was just an energy sucking alien disguising itself as a dead human, IIRC.
The Greek gods in TOS were just aliens the way the Norse ones are aliens in the Marvel universe.
Threshold is the odd one out here because even with the explination of the craziest shit, Janeway and Paris still had a litter of alien fish things together.
Unironically, Threshold is one of my favourite Star Trek episodes of all time. It's just interesting to watch Paris going through all the body horror changes.
Same for Discovery and Lower Decks! And the Star Wars sequel trilogy!
And the Star Wars sequel trilogy!

Literally me, this is why I ignore them and read the EU novels instead.
i only recently read the Heir to the Empire trilogy and am flabberghasted that they didn't try to adapt those. you'd need to recast the heroes or modify it to explain a longer time gap, but still- you already had the trilogy written! and people already love it! it's free money!
Careful, some might consider posting this as heresy
(Even though I totally agree with you)
