I love Chikorita for so, so many reasons. Plant Dino! The fact that it typically ranks so low as one of the least-loved starters makes me love it more.

100% for me it's espurr. I adore espurr. It's adorable grey fluffy fur, sweet curled ears to keep its sanity, and it's large unexpressive eyes with it's neutral mouth expression is truly what sets espurr above all other pokemon. I recently played shield only to use a team of espurrs to beat the game. It was amazing being surrounded by the cute depressed barely keeping it together kittens. I wanted to be their soft spot. We kicked ass together. I love espurr.

Goomy. There is something weirdly adorable about a tiny, barely sentient ball of snot happily pretending to be a fearsome, mighty dragon.

Mew. Its laugh is heart melting and it does say "Mew!"
