Who is Tim Pool?

I've seen people mention Dim Tool in other posts and I now think it might be the same person

Larped as a centrist that only happened to agree with right wing points. Turned out to be an honest to God paid russian shill.

Dim tool is indeed another name for him.

No, he wasn't a Russian shill. He's a useful idiot that got paid by Russia cause they like the stupid shit he says and wanted it to spread. Always remember the order of cause and effect. One is a borderline impossible conspiracy that would take too much effort for the Russian state to pull off without being detected. The other is a simple business transaction where you pay the useful idiots en masse in order to increase political polarization in a target country. The latter also comes across as a nothing burger when detected because of course a rival country wants to destabilize their rival with minimum effort. That's just good business.

Useful idiot and paid russian shill are the same thing, in this context.

You're seeing a category difference where there isn't one.

A useful idiot is someone who says/does things X finds helpful.

A paid shill is a person who is paid by X to promote things or ideas.

All of these apply to Timmy Beanboy.

If you... don't believe that Tim Pool was directly paid by Russian Intelligence... you are just factually wrong. That is what happened, he was funded by Russia, the entire thing you describe as a borderline impossible conspiracy theory is... well documented history.

They made up a fake, rich benefactor figure, invented a fake person, and basically catfished Tim and others (Dave Rubin, Ben Johnson) into a financial relationship, where this fake person acted as the pay pig.

Its honestly a pretty common type of scam technique, pig-butchering... but just done in the inverse.

I'm saying that his career wasn't started by Russia, and he doesn't get marching orders from them either. They pay him cause he says the things they want said. Is what I'm saying.

You are confused, that its not what you said.

What you just said here is accurate, but what you said in the above comment is not, its confused.

Yeah, they paid him, to be a shill, because he is a useful idiot who says shit they like being said, and yes, he's so good at being a useful idiot by nature that they don't even need to specifically direct him.

Lol game recognizes game, why do you think I broke it down without being too much of an ass, hahaha!

I'm so far into the spectrum, well... its my middle user name.

People should be allowed to be genuinely wrong, and be politely corrected, when its actually a logic bug, not a knowingly bad faith argument.

    Tim Pool is...

Imagine the whiny emo guy from high school, who is actually just a duplicitous, self centered, sexist asshole, who drops out and then gets his GED later, when his plan to make it big as a pro skater didn't work out.

    That's basically Tim Pool.

An insufferable moron who needs to feel important, but who is also too incompetent for his manipulative nature to generally work on anyone with an IQ over ~95.

Oh right yeah, he was also literally a paid Russian propoganda/intelligence asset, unwittingly.

He was too stupid to realize the money was coming from Russia, because he did no due diligence.

So I guess add 'craven grifter' into the descriptor pile.

There ya go, this Tim Pool in under 90 seconds.

Sadly, Tim Pool is, in the US, a pretty well known ... political pundit/podcast bro.

too stupid to realize the money was coming from Russia

and/or too greedy to care. To any reputable independent media outlet, it may raise an eyebrow if some unknown funding source reached out and said "we'll give you $10 million to basically keep doing exactly what you're already doing. Ukraine bad, Russia good, etc. etc." but for Tim he obviously didn't give a shit when the check cleared. Pathetic that his exact brand is "you can't trust any other media source but me! They're all bought and paid for!"

Timbah.On.Toast is an excellent YouTube channel that has some very thorough breakdowns of some prominent grifters. Dave Rubin, James O'Keefe, Russell Brand, and a multi-part series on Tim Pool which starts right here: https://youtu.be/TRfbczIaR7E

Highly recommended if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm pretty sure I have seen that Timbah Toast video, and basically yep yep yep! Would reccomend it to others, kind of a guide to the grifting scum that sadly constitute 'political discourse' in the US these days.

So you know how skateboarding is viewed as a useful tool for fashion et al to target the young? Large industry... borrows the sheen of the sport at steet level to project authenticity at a marketing level.

That's Tim Pool, but as a conservative instigator. He's one of their cards in that whole arena. Buy a skate park and start drama as a foot in the door to the talking heads space.

The point of this is hilarious:

    • Tim Pool was being duped originally by Russia
    • Tim Pool is lying and saying that Russia said negative things about Trump. Russia was on Trump's side, lol

    Was he actually duped?

Maybe, but now his livelihood depends on the idiots that watch him continuing to tune in. He's gotta keep the grift going however he can, obfuscating the truth on something like this means he can eek out a few more roubles.

Well if the president is allowed to betray his country for money why shouldn’t other people be allowed to do the same?

That view count applies to the top post, not the bottom post right?

I’m guessing fewer people see the bottom comment.

Yes which is why 'gotcha tweets' are such a fucking waste of time.

Both of these tweets are preaching to the choir. No one with a conservative bent is going to see that second tweet and they are even less likely to know Pool took money from the the Russians.

The lower tweet has the same energy as my boomer father 'tweeting at Trump'

I wonder how much money China paid Indian journalists to write that Modi was never overly fond of Muslims 🤔
