"A cat has nine lives. For three he plays, for three he strays, and for the last three he stays."

In Italy and Greece they have 7.

In Arabic and Turkish parts of the world cats have 6.

This made a puzzle in Might and Magic 4 so hard.

But a few years later I had learned of 9 lifes through cultural osmosis (eg American cartoons) which made the puzzle so much easier and I needed a moment to figure out why I used to have so much trouble with it.

I think I probably had to solve that too since I did finish Clouds of Xeen long ago but I don't remember that puzzle.

Though I had something kinda similar to that feeling when I learned about Citizen Kane and I got that the witches' password "rosebud" was probably a random reference to that. At least I think it was?

What if the cat is born on a Norwegian-flagged ship in Italian territorial waters?

Probably due to American cartoons airing in Turkey. Same thing happened in Germany.
