It’s going to be like this forever, isn’t it

Nexus Mods owner Robin Scott summed up the situation perfectly on Jan. 6, two days before the official statement went out on X, in the comments of a Reddit thread about “censorship” on his site:

We also removed the exact same mod with Joe Biden’s head at the same time (on the 2nd of January) to ensure there was no bias and because we don’t want to handle all the nutjobs that come out the woodwork whenever these mods get posted. Funny how the outrage-bait YouTubers don’t mention that, isn’t it?

Case in point, today, with all the nutjobs coming out of the woodwork sending us death threats, calling us pedos and all the other “wah wahs” that come with this ridiculous situation because some YouTuber told them we are only removing Trump mods.

It’s so dumb, and these people are so dumb, that I really cannot be fucked with it. I’m not expecting any of my staff to have to handle these whackjobs any more than showing them the door either. So we delete all the mods we see/that get reported to us on the topic, and all the people this upsets can trot-on because it’s really not worth our time or effort to care about.

I've criticized Dark0ne repeatedly over the years specifically because he tends to be an asshole, but this is one time I'm with him 100%.

Captain America punches nazis, they aren't one themselves (using they/them because they could in theory be any gender or lack thereof).

Cosmic cube shenanigans. That Cap was real, but brainwashed on a reality altering level by Red Skull. It is, with absolutely no social commentary whatsoever, a fictional and idealized version of Captain America created whole from a Cube from Sam's image of Rogers that beats Hydra Cap but at the moment the "real" Steve Rogers is still a Super-Nazi.

I think. Comics are quite silly.

Edit:. Goddamn it I hate multiverse fuckery, apparently that's all wrong and he's not a brainwashed version anymore but a Rogers from a timeline the Cube created where he got groomed into Hydra. And now it was the real/Earth-616 Rogers that Sam brought back? Because no one likes America being criticised as turning into a fascist state, lol.

Comics are dumb and written by cowards this is why no one likes the multiverse.

If I snarkily told someone to read an article that I had not, myself, read, I would feel embarrassed. I don't know if you tell yourself you're just trolling or if you were trying to spark a certain reaction. I would love to know your thought process behind the original comment. Did you achieve your goal? If you didn't, is there something else you could have said that would have worked? And if you did, was the goal worthy? Did it further any long-term goals you may have about making life better for yourself, your loved ones, or humanity in general?
