Growing up is realizing that having kids is both optional and not a sign of being grown up.

growing up means putting your needs and desires second for someone else that you care about.
growing up is about learning that your perspective is limited by your own inability to empathize.
growing up is learning that your responsibilities aren't optional.
I'm not saying you need to have kids to grow up. what I am saying is that bitching and moaning about parents taking the time away from work to parent their kids is such a tone-deaf and childish perspective and anyone who thinks this argument has any merit clearly lacks the life experience and emotional maturity of an adult.
be child free I couldn't give any less fucks since it's a personal choice. however, don't expect parents to sit by and allow you to unjustly shame them because the company you work for is a piece of shit that abuses childfree employees. take it up with your employer and lodge complaints against policies with HR.
that's the thing I hate the most about childfree communities, the loudest most outspoken members often expect special treatment for simply existing as they always have and shame parents for the extra support employers give.
you wouldn't bitch about the wheelchair ramps for disabled employees though, would you? how about the uniquely colored TPS reports for the colorblind employees? While we're at it, why not bitch about the screen readers for the visually impaired employees?
