You don't get the saying. If you do heroin it kills you. Like even literally.

If you can overcome the addiction, you will eventually come out stronger.

It's not meant to be applied on an actionable scale, but rather on a strategic one. Kind of like "learn from your failures."

    Addiction can often lead to trauma, poverty, unwanted children, all sorts of degradation, so even if someone can overcome the obstacle of stopping that won’t necessarily make them stronger. They may even be weaker than they’ve ever been from the stress on their body and psyche.
