Sorry, I'm a millennial who grew up with emoticons B⁠-⁠), so when emoji came along 😎, I've loved using them every since. But I realize among most crowds they can come across as not very serious, lol. If you know me, all my emoji make perfect sense. 😅

Oh I use plenty of irony. I just use it very obviously. "You'll know 🤡🙃🤪" when I use it. Also highly contextual. Sometimes I won't need to use formatting or emoji, the context and knowing me will be enough.
