I was just using the wording from the painting. Is there a reason why it would be different for the word raisin instead of pipe?

Raisin is masculine so it gets 'un' but pipe is feminine so it gets 'une'. Gendered languages are interesting.

Yep! A mouse is feminine. A horse is masculine. A car is feminine. A fridge is masculine. A door is feminine. A bed is masculine.

Sure, but a pipe is completely phallic. Please tell me flower and clam are feminine
