I’m never going to stop being angry that when he does go, if it’s not live on camera, they won’t confirm it for a time, I want the world wide party that follows his demise goddamnit! Even if it doesn’t fix the problems we all deserve to celebrate the end of a virus

They'll confirm it Jan 21 2027.

If they confirm it earlier, JD serves more than half a term making him ineligible for reelection

Either way he would be eligible for 2028, just maybe not 2032.

Frankly, Vance might not be who they want to be stuck with as a candidate. The MAGA folks are..."fine" with him but they aren't exactly excited about him.

Don't know who it would be, but wouldn't be surprised if they are eager to identify a more energizing candidate.
