Where can I contribute instead of Google Maps? (lemmy.world)

I used to add photos to Google Maps. As I grew up, I feel that I dont want to support us corporation.

Which alternative is the most popular in your country? In Poland I use mapy.com, and I add ratings, photos of the places. Is there any better platform? What do you use in France, Germany, Italy etc?

I dont see an option to edit there anything. I wanted to add photos but I cant.

    Agreed.

    Open Streetmap only deals with the details - if you want to add photos, etc, then you'll need other applications / websites

    As @hendrik@palaver.p3x.de mentioned: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Panoramax

    Mapillary is similar, but it was bought up by facebook, so I don't think you're looking for that one.
