I haven't watched that one, but...it didn't look good. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] Derpykat5@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago (1 child) I've only heard one statement about the Tom Cruise reboot; "The most interesting thing about that movie was the trailer they mistakenly released without any audio" So... not glowing reviews. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago I don't remember one without audio. I haven’t seen either. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] jacksilver@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago No, the Tom Cruise one was a reboot as part of universals Monsters Universe idea, but it bombed so bad they killed the whole idea. You can see remnants of their original plan in the Frankenstein ride at Epic Universe in Orlando. Basically the idea was Frankensteins daughter trying to collect/contain all the monsters for her own purposes. permalink fedilink source parent [–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago The Godfather effect dictates that a trilogy often has no third movie. permalink fedilink source parent [–] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago We're getting a fourth movie with Fraser and Weisz in 2028. I'm kind of hoping they just remove the third one from continuity. permalink fedilink source parent [–] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago Ahhh. I think I saw that in theaters in the long ago. Time for a rewatch apparently permalink fedilink source parent [–] a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago You are in for such a wild ride. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Zoop@beehaw.org 3 points 4 months ago What movie is it, if you don't mind sharing? I feel like I know it, and it's on the tip of my tongue, but I'm blanking. My brain is embarrassing haha permalink fedilink source parent
