Finally put up some shelving and wall mounted the dryer after living here for 5ish years. (media.piefed.social)

Been doing a huge amount of work around the house lately in the holidays.

Currently power washing the pavers out back and filling the joins with sand. Should be more fun tomorrow.

It's so he can reach the controls while it's mounted! I guess anyway - Idk why really.

    Yes thats correct, the official instructions tell you to mount it upside down and the kit it comes with only works one way.

    I've always found it irritating on others I've done over the years but there ya go.

    Same. I was genuinely scratching my head before I came to the comments. Reaching the controls didn't even enter my mind 😂. I've seen stacked/combo units before, but never a wall mounted dryer.

    Does this mean before you had it mounted it was actually upside down? Like the controls and all the text was upside down?

    Nah it was sitting right side up on the floor - they are upside down now

    Not OP, but fellow Aussie who's mounted the odd dryer upside down on the wall like this. The dryer is able to be used either way up. The ones I've done tended to come with stickers to place over the control panel so the text is readable again. I've never bothered.

    Sorry, it is an option to be mounted on the wall.

    Normally it would sit right side up in a stack or on the floor, by wall mounting you have to flip it so the controls are at the bottom which turns them upside down.

    Its not an issue cause like I said in another comment its a number dial and a hot/cold toggle, nothing hard to figure out

    The exhaust vent can be angled right towards the window, or alternatively, ducted out the window.

    I take it you don’t live in the sort of place where winter means it’s dry as hell for months such that using a dryer box (basically a trap filled with water to catch lint, but exhausting the damp air into the living space) is desirable?

    A wall mounted dryer like this would actually be great in my space. We don’t have them here afaik, but it would allow me to put my dryer box in line with the units rather than taking up extra space off to the side like the stacked configuration needs.
