Nearly 3 million signatures but we need more! permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] mannycalavera@feddit.uk 15 points 9 months ago (1 child) I'm not sure this government listens to petitions. You need to form an alliance of digital id lovers and then throw paint on a tank or something whilst dressed as a giant id card. Before you know it the Home Secretary will proscribe your group as terrorists and arrest anyone carrying a digital id card or showing support for it. The government will eat itself so to speak. Check mate Blair. Your move. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 5 points 9 months ago (1 child) Has any government listened to them? Seems like something to stop us immediately reaching for the pitchforks, and make people feel they've done something. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] mikey@feddit.uk 2 points 9 months ago More signatures gives pressure groups a big sample size to point at, but i agree its only one piece of the puzzle. bigbrotherwatch & privacyinternational permalink fedilink source parent [–] yakko@feddit.uk 3 points 9 months ago Thanks for the link.
