All the technical points mentioned there are not really relevant to me, because I turned off that other stuff. Would I trust it with my really sensitive data? No. Do I have respect for the people behind the browser? Some of them are ok, some not. Honestly, using American tech it’s hard to swing a cat around in a room and not hit a nazi But when it’s better than the Firefox forks or Chrome, I see no reason not to use it for those use cases. It does its job well. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] 3aqn5k6ryk@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 child) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] limer@lemmy.dbzer0.com -5 points 1 year ago (1 child) Right and I’m saying it’s ok to boycott based on toxic people ; but there is no technical reason to avoid this one permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] the_wiz@feddit.org 6 points 1 year ago (1 child) If you want to boycott based in toxic personality... well, >20 years in the industry have told me that you will be stuck using an abacus if you go by this... permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] limer@lemmy.dbzer0.com -1 points 1 year ago I personally boycott based on toxic organizations.
