I would have loved to go for e/os but I felt it was a bit risky with all the necissary apps for my orgsnisation.

So far the phone habe been way better than expected, really satisfied with it!

This is my first Fairphone with /e/OS and I'm really excited😊. It arrived within 3–4 days even though the estimated time was 2–3 weeks. That suprised me, because I live in Germany.

Everything came intact: headphones, screen protector, and phone case. They also included this little pin to get into the SIM tray slot, which I thought was great. There was no charger in the box but that's intentional on their part. Doesn't matter to me since all modern chargers work anyway.

It's really easy to use and murena has its own browser. The default search engine is Qwant, which I don't use because of Bing. But honestly, my main goal was F-Droid and using apps that reportedly won't work on Google-certified devices starting in September. I've already downloaded my own apps like IronFox and I'm happy 😁.

Now I'd love to hear your opinion: I think Google has shot itself in the foot with this decision. By closing down Android further, more people will switch to de-Googled systems.

Dear fairphone team, wouldn't it be awesome if you developed your next fairphone with GrapheneOS in mind, ship with GrapheneOS as standard OS, or at least have that as an option? The privacy-conscious crowd and the eco-friendly tech crowd have so much in common! You enjoy immense trust, which would be a great anchor for eco-friendly people to join the flock of privacy-conscious phone and internet users. On the other hand, it could serve as an anchor for privacy-conscious people to get into the societal and eco-friendly tech market; instead of throwing their money at Google for homebrew-Graphene'd Pixel phones.

Friday I spilled some liquid on it, and later plugged it in. No charging + a tiny puff of smoke/steam... NOT good.

So I ordered a new bottom module from Fairphone (£17), and accurate tracking updates told me it'd arrive Tues afternoon.

It did, I followed the simple install video (took 30 mins) and my 6-year old #Fairphone3 is now good as new.

AND I had use of it the whole time, since I just swapped in a spare battery.

Hi, I was wondering, does /e/os, like Ubuntu Touch and Samsung Android, support usb-c from monitor directly into the phone, and then use it with desktop display, just like a laptop? :)

I live in the US and just bought a pair of Fairbuds XL which I like so far but I'm a bit annoyed they don't have a 3.5mm jack and don't come with the USB-C to 3.5mm cord either. They don't seem to stock it on their Amazon store and since I'm in the US I can't order from their website either.

What other options do I have? Can I used a generic USB-C to 3.5mm dongle to use them wired? Or do I need Apple's $40 USB-C to 3.5mm cable?

Ich finde diese Entscheidung von Fairphone ein wenig enttäuschend, werde mein FP3+ aber natürlich weiter nutzen! Es funktioniert einwandfrei und vor allem hat es noch einen echten Klinkenstecker für meine Lieblingskopfhörer. :rosahaj_headphones:

Werde mich also in nächster Zeit mit alternativen Betriebssystemen beschäftigen.🥳

Hey all, I've recently bought a Fairphone 6 and deciding what OS to use. I installed e/ OS and found every apps works fine except a step tracking app StepUp - which I use for work. The wheel just spins when I open this app. Does anyone know how I might fix this issue? Otherwise which OS would you recommend which also has some of the same privacy as e/ OS? Is there anything you can add to the stock OS to improve privacy? Cheers!

Someone forked Fairphone Moments and put it on F-droid. On devices without a switch it doesn't really make sense, but for people using eg Iodé OS on the FP6 this might come in handy

Finally! I have received my new #Fairphone 6, today, and I will start a new journey with /e/OS, leaving Google for good.

I am so excited to be able to try it and support this amazing project, and doing my part for a more sustainable world.

Any advice for a good photo app? I love taking pictures with my Huawei and would love to keep going with my Fairphone as well.

I'm considering replacing my smartphone with a Fairphone 6, and I saw that they only work with the T-Mobile network in the US. Does anyone know if it will work with Mint Mobile, which uses the T-Mobile network?
