Well, https://piefed.social/ won the vote in dominating fashion. I'm not mad about it. I will admit my personal preference was lemmy.zip with piefed a close second.
I know the new community will take a while to grow to the level of this one. I want to take this moment to thank everyone who has participated here and also thank the admins of https://lemm.ee/ for the work they've put in over the past few years in this instance.
I will make a post once the transition is complete.
Most of you are probably aware that lemm.ee will be shutting down by the end of this month. This means that we need to find a new home for our community. Here's a list of instances I'm considering. Please upvote the one(s) you would like.
I want to make the move soon so I'll let this poll run for a day.
Piefed has really strong community moving capabilities, which means that if this instance goes down, or its rules become restrictive, then we can easily move to a different piefed instance with limited issues.
Has some cool features. Flairs are something I've wanted for a long time and better moderation tools standout.
Newer software, not as heavily tested but very active. There seems to be some issues with synchronizing subscribers, but posts and comments seem to spread very quickly in my testing.
Limited mobile options but I've not had issues accessing piefed communities through a lemmy account via any major Lemmy app I've tested.
With the announcement that lemm.ee will be shutting down on June 30th, this community will unfortunately need a new home. Do you have a place in mind, @darakan@lemm.ee ?
It’s already been over a month since we crossed the 1,000-subscriber milestone! I wanted to take a moment to thank every single one of you for being part of this community. When I took over as moderator just over a year ago, we were a small group of ~30 subs with virtually no engagement. Seeing a relatively niche space like this grow has been very exciting. This is the first community (lemmy or otherwise) that I've moderated and helped grow and I'm grateful for anyone who has posted, commented or upvoted here.
I also want to give a special shoutout to @Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com who has been very helpful over the past year. And has really been a beacon of the broader community as well.

My daughter was introduced to TOH by her girlfriend and is obsessed. Problem is there isn't very much of it and she's watching it again and again on repeat. Does anyone know of anything she could watch to switch it up that has a similar vibe?
This took me about 7 months to complete, it's a fan animation of a hilarious DND podcast run by some equally hilarious Australian comedians called the dragon friends.
The animation starts rough but I feel you can see improvement as you near the end, hope you enjoy it!
