You can argue that you have capitalism if transactions are happening. Which means the word kind of looses it's meaning because it's so broad.

But people will often define it on how much market control the state displays.

You can then argue that China has market control on key aspects of important sectors. Which they do, but still with an approach, that they have private companies with government subsidies.

But most of all, the need for distance to the world capitalism is more a marketing thing. Unless they believe that capitalism is just a tool to achieve socialism, which also can be true.

Hasnt it always been like this on TV? If a show had bad ratings, it wasnt up for another season.

Now it's just so much "in your face" because the quantity of new shows has gone up.

AI girl/boyfriends are fucking addictions latching onto people vulnerbilities.

This ban is nothing but good, but no one thing will fix child birth rates, nor the reason for the addiction in the first place, I'll agree with that.

It probably says somewhere in the ToS, which is still a fucking disgrace that those exists, without having to make clear and obvious bullet points you click "consent".

Even having to make consent multiple times should be mandatory for every shit they try to do.

Solution if users shouldnt hit consent multiple times? Dont do shady shit.

This solution makes sense. They need to phase out the existing rules properly, no matter how wrong they were to begin with.

Tax them from 10% til 100% over 5 years, and let them sell off as they go through that time spand maybe?

Chat Control didnt pass - they didnt even vote because they were afraid the result would be embarassing.

And we got told so many times, that EU now wants Chat Control. But it was a big fat lie.

EU is a democracy with different opinions, and when a small group of facists tries to read your chats, it does not represent the EU opinion.

But the whole media got you thinking so. Proving even on Lemmy, you and me are extremly prone to propaganda.

I quoted the article here with the news:

In a major breakthrough for the digital rights movement, the German government has refused to back the EU’s controversial Chat Control regulation yesterday after facing massive public pressure.

The government did not take a position on the proposal.

This blocks the required majority in the EU Council, derailing the plan to pass the surveillance law next week.
