Different company doing the tracking from your phone, they can monetise it at utilise it in other (nefarious) ways.
Also, a phone is near impossible to get by without. We shouldn't have to accept our phones are tracking us on someone else's behalf, but people have to be a little bit more flexible with those, whereas a "smart-rack" which can track bike journeys is more easily determined to be OTT and can be pushed back against.

Depends where in Europe you are. In many countries, immigration policy does treat immigrants as a monolithic block. I live in one of them. It may be easier to get a work visa as a highly skilled person, but it doesn't change much when it gets to applying for permanent residency or citizenship.

While technically correct, I vehemently disagree. I'm on the opposite side of the political spectrum to this man, but if it had been a left-wing supporter going at Noem or Miller, then the left response would be "it's only a food product, it's just to make a point - look at what the Trump Administration is doing killing people". I think it's fair to let someone off with a warning if it's something innocuous.
This is absolutely fucked up. The people that received arrest warrants against should clearly be in prison, yet he is the man that ultimately suffers. We live in a backwards world.
Why do you still work there if you feel this way? Working for oil and gas is only supporting the existing order, and most people in O&G have very transferable skillsets.
