Also, the whiter you look the less people will see you as an immigrant. In many countries, immigration policy does treat immigrants as a monolithic block. I live in one of them. It may be easier to get a work visa as a highly skilled person, but it doesn't change much when it gets to applying for permanent residency or citizenship. permalink fedilink source parent
