Interesting that the change to English also needed a change to big ole anime titties.

The original made the gender presentation of the characters pretty clearly feminine, this version violently assaults you with it.

I guess that's a choice.

These idiots just want to return to the 1950s where baby's were healthy. You know because infant mortality in Australia was almost 10 times higher so all the babies who had a troubled start just fucking died. But at least you only saw the strong babies being wheeled around in strollers by their mothers, and that's all that counts. Seriously these people...

I think all the online influencers need to be tracked down and asked if they are confident enough in their whack job conspiracy theory beliefs to be held to the same standards as the Medical Professionals they slander. A few medical malpractice claims in the right community should make a lot of people a lot more considered in what they say.

My first thought was, how do you work at a company with literal toddlers at management level and above and expect it to end well? I just started at a job where my boss is planning on slowing down and stepping back. A key part of getting the job was a willingness to work independently and with little to no direct supervision.

But then my boss is in touch with his business and aware of what's happening without having to actively spy on us. Also finding he loathes progress reports for the sake of progress reports. I'm still adjusting to no longer being actively micromanaged but it's clear that I need to check in when something is too much for me or when it's finished, anything else is wasting time.

How typical is it that we would start looking at standing these data centers up now they are running up against regulatory resistance in more progressive parts of the world.

Hey look New York state have started banning new builds, sounds like our time to start.

Cool, if there are two resources this country has way too much of its power and water.

Just the other day I was complaining to my wife that our powerbill is way too low, I was really hoping the government would come up with a strategy to raise it...

And water, well we are having a good year with record levels in local catchments, that means this will be the way of things forever... Right... Right?

We couldn't possibly end up facing down water restrictions while slop factories got to keep using because of the economic necessity... Right? Right?

Late stage capitalism just continues to be the gift that craps down the collective throats of all the people.

Not myself, the old man. Strange that it affected the three people who used tomato sauce but not the two people who didn't, tomato sauce vs chilli sauce being the only difference in their meals.

So tell me, let's hypothetically say you strongly suspect that tomato sauce which had gone bad turned your ass into an IED for two days. Would it really stress you to put the bottle, the one that says refrigerate after opening, in the fridge?

Hell I have a cousin that can't bring himself to eat garlic bread, and an ex who can't eat chicken for the exact same reason.

If anything the old man just made a small tweak to how he stores it and kept throwing it on his meat pies, showing some real gastrointestinal fortitude.

My dad became a strong advocate for this after a particularly nasty dose of food poisoning.

"But it's too hard to get out of the bottle!!!"

"You know what wasn't hard to get out? The two days of explosive diarrhoea! I'll take shaking the bottle a bit, thank you."

Its worse than that, if they were to do a Microsoft or Sony and sell it at a loss to try and make money back on the games, then what would happen when they sell through the batch they currently have of presumably pre "BiBi and Donnys special visit to Iran" costed units, then what?

Suddenly all the other components are spiking in price, the pcbs and the plastic cost more, the packaging is more expensive, and they are forced to raise their prices. The sound of screeching from the terminally online intensifies as a bunch of "experts" declare that Valve can afford to lose money because Gabe isn't walking around in a barrel Diogenes style.

As a software company in the hardware industry Valve are a lot further down the chain than the bigger names, they aren't securing super long term contracts with anyone. They don't dictate terms. I doubt they are making a ton of money on any of their hardware, they are just trying to nudge the market in the right direction. We are going to see so many knock off steam machines in the next few years, Microsoft will keep releasing targetted versions of Windows to try to smother SteamOS, its a great time for the rest of the gaming ecosystem while AI fucks the hardware side.

Hi thanks for looking at my query. I recently as a joke changed some writing on the board of a friends EAL (English as an Additional Language) classroom from English to German. She liked the idea, but using Google Translate resulted in an overly formal phrasing that made it seem more a demand than a suggestion or polite request.

So my ask, if you speak (or I guess write) another language I would love to request you take a moment to translate "Please stack chairs at the end of the day" into whichever language you can help me with, it should be a polite request though.

I'm really not sure what the composition of her class is but she is a fan of languages as a whole so even if it's not a language that is represented in her class I am sure it will be a bit of fun and a talking point to figure it out.

If you have the time and the skills to help I really appreciate it, otherwise I appreciate you taking the time to read this post. Have a fantastic day.

So I responded to a post by donaldjmusk@lemmy.today on conservative@lemmy.today (yeah yeah I know don't feed the troll, but sometimes you just feel the need to be perverse) where he kept making disingenuous points and for some reason was quoting small sections of my replies back into his.

Too late I realised he is a mod on that community and he had been curating his responses so he could ban me and delete my comments and mischaracterize the conversation. I am guessing that references to the sexual proclivities of his idol hurt his fefes. But still he could try arguing his side rather than do that crap.

So anyway just thought I would put the word out that this is the new fun tactic.

This is it, this "balanced reporting" and uninformed electorate is going to lead to Potato Head getting in.

We had a single election cycle of Labor and they didn't manage to completely fix our economy and all the Liberal fuckery of the previous 2 cycles, so we better give the liberals another chance to fuck us harder.

Every time I run into a Liberal voter I ask the same question "What one thing is most illustrative of them being strong on the economy?"

I have never been given a good answer.

PS not a huge Labor fan either but I know which side of the Overton window I prefer to be pushing on.
