this is definitely a fixable problem, maybe even you yourself could do it
i have a laptop that had a really flimsy power connector, one piece broke off, and the plug went inside when you tried to charge it
i looked up disassebly online (laptops can be tricky) and i tried different thing, tbh i forgot what i did that works now but i think a piece of plastic is holding it in place now, and it's been a few years
also, if it is more complicated, laptop shops can fix a lot of things, even if something needs to be replaced, it not that much without ram

I know it's weird but that little bit of promo swag had been on my keychain across 4 cars and now my keys are weirdly light. It makes me kind of sad.

Edit: I knew y'all would understand. I'm going to try the epoxy idea on my next day off. Your responses have turned a crummy day into a great one.

    transcript:
    cat mum: what's 6 times 7?
cat boy (making faces): 6 7!!!
cat mum: hilarious, as always. but actually ...?
    cat boy: 42
    cat mum: 6 x 7 - 6 7 - is 42?!
    cat boy: yeah ... so?
cat mum (making faces): that means 6 7 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything!
cat boy: daddy! mommy's being weird again!
cat dad: aww, you see son, - your mommy is just a huge dork!
cat mum: history doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes!

obviously not exactly a new movie, and idk if i would wholeheartedly recommend watching it, but if you're okay with seeing the implied killing of a horse and explicit death of a person, i think you should, before you read the rest

oh before i start, i watched the movie because of the "movies vs capitalism" podcast, highly recommended, they recently had an episode about it, i haven't actually listened to it yet, i have thoughts to express and they won't listen to me anyways :)

    SPOILERS AHEAD

spoileram i reading this correctly, the creators say that women are these beautiful creatures, like horses, that can become so damaged, that they are better off dead?
i was nodding along most of the way, oh yeah, poor people doing crazy stuff for food and temporary shelter, show guy being a dick, exploiting them as much as he can, and then he says he's being fair
and people watching, throwing pennies, surprisingly, pretty relevant to recent years' reality tv and streaming obsession
and then, oh she has a gun, who will they kill i wonder ... herself?? what??? he's just watching, she can't do it, so he does it ?????? and i feel like we're being told that was the right call

also, i thought a 1000+ hour dance marathon was a crazy exaggeration, but based on a quick search, there were longer ones irl, before they were banned, rightfully

i have auto updates on and yesterday, pop shop told me to restart. in hindsight it was a bit weird, i just had another restart to update a few days ago, and i think the restart message on the window was in orange, but this last time it was black. since this restart, the system goes to busybox, and while the keyboard lights up, it doesn't react to any input, not evem caps lock switching
with a live usb, i checked the efi and the root partition, via disks, both seems to check out
i also have a mint install on the same ssd, and that works just fine
also windows on a different ssd, i haven't tried it
i have tried the guide on system76's page, to repair the bootloader, didn't seem to have any effect
what could be causing this and how can fix this?
    edit: typos
