@naught101 A focus on "causes" tends to essentially create a confirmation bias. A focus on mental hygiene tends towards mental hygiene. Make your bed, brush your teeth, take a walk, do all of those basic, quietly life-affirming activities of daily living which almost imperceptibly shift us out of analytical reinforcement of our "problems" and into experiential reinforcement of life's simple joys.

Not everyone has a bed to make, a sink where they can brush their teeth, teeth to brush...

@ExLisper @Vedlt The cliffhanger in the second movie was legit homage to the old Saturday morning serials ,Buster Crabbe style. Not that I liked it, but I think it's legit. However, there is no forgiving the Ewoks, the yub yub dance, Jar Jar Binks, or a thousand and one other crass marketing grabs. And by the way, Han fucking shot first, mother-fucker.

@TheImpressiveX Back in 2000 I briefly taught at UC Santa Barbara. One class was a summer, two week course in Adobe Director for Japanese high school graduates prior to entering Ritsumeikan University. I cast about looking for a Japanese version of the program, but could not find it. One of the students later told me they wouldn't expect such a thing to exist, as English was the language of coding.
