Interesting reading to try to get into the mind of a left thinker voting extreme right. Although I didn't share such opinion, his argument sounds like "I don't trust/like my government, so, let's support Hitler to do some opposition with the hope that he won't be too powerful to enforce his policies what I don't share". Historically that doesn't end well and it sounds really naive.

if you're not paying for it, do you actually get to demand anything? (Obviously yes, but we still need some boundaries)

Wrong!! Obviously no. You're not entitled to demand anything. You can ask politely.

You don't like the project? Go and use another alternative.

There is no alternative? Go and write your own.

You don't have the skills? Go and pay somebody with the skills. And if you want the most skilled for the job, probably is the person maintaining that project that you don't like but still keep using for free.

if I go to a guy’s place, I’m not gonna be inclined to get into his bed if he “won” the bed-making argument with his parents and stuck with that philosophy ever since

Wow, this is just a relief!!!

This is actually a good argument: not making your bed will keep away some unpleasant and judging "friends"
