Fairphone makes an effort to open source all code including device trees and encourages the developement of custom roms and alternative oses like Linux mobile. So I'll just switch to a Fairphone with a custom ROM.

I won't switch to mobile linux though since I don't want to go back to an unsandboxed environment.

More packages of frozen shrimp potentially affected by radioactive contamination have been recalled, federal officials said Thursday.

California-based Southwind Foods recalled frozen shrimp sold under the brands Sand Bar, Arctic Shores, Best Yet, Great American and First Street. The bagged products were distributed between July 17 and Aug. 8 to stores and wholesalers in nine states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, and Washington state.

The products have the potential to be contaminated with Cesium-137, a radioactive isotope that is a byproduct of nuclear reactions.

I have never posted, commented or did anything else in this community and only found out when I wanted to make a post about the GNU Taler in Switzerland.

I have been a vocal critic of Israeli Warcrimes and Nettanyahus authoritarianism, calling him a potential Fascist. But I guess that wasn't Anti-Israel enough and therefore Zionism.

I guess this is a modern-day example of "the revolution devours its own children".

GNU Taler begins operating in Switzerland, distributed by the Taler Operations AG. Gnu Taler aims to be a “digital wallet” and has been used by the swiss national bank as well as the european national bank as a example for how a digital currency handed out by the state could work. It aims to be as privacy preserving as cash for the buyer while not allowing the seller to evade taxes.

Currently the Taler is brought out by a special organisation, the “Taler Operations AG”, and not the national bank, although both the national bank as well as the Taler Team have shown interest in a official digial currency by the national bank based on the Taler. But we need to relativate as the national council has stated that the introduction of a digital currency would probably take relatively major legislative changes and therefore take a bit of time.
