I just had this exact sentiment with the navigation app Magic Earth. A Google alternative that works decently enough, doesn't rob my data, and also has a built in dash cam function and is all for free? Sign me up! They just went freemium. Dash cam and a bunch of other features are now locked behind a paywall, and it came with an update one couldn't avoid. I'm so pissed, and really wish I could have avoided that. Now I'm searching for a half decent alternative.

I recall reading in a similar post about certain handheld lasers that weren't too expensive that are capable of destroying these cameras almost instantly. Does anyone know what those are, so I can be sure to avoid them at all costs? Which ones specifically, and what ways to avoid using them?

I can't fit 3 120mm lian LI fans up top on this case, a Fractal Design Meshify 3, even though I thought PCpartpicker said it could. On top of that, the SL and CL series fans dont share the same touch points for transmitting power. So the one on the back would have no power to exhaust, and my reverse flow up at the front spot on the roof can't share with what would have been the other two fans. Clear oversights, oops. So now I have what is effectively two fans up top, and two fans I can't even use.

Well, not too sure how to fix this. Anyone have ideas on how I might salvage this or get the original idea to work? I uhh... I am not sure where to go from here. Not exactly urgent, one of the parts isn't here yet and I'm still waiting on things.

Also to clarify: I can't find the article or document anymore, but I was trying to emulate a fan setup that was supposedly ideal for hot components and environments (Florida.) Standard 7 fan config, but the front most top fan is intake not exhaust, supposedly it has a great effect on cooling as it wasn't just removing the fresh air from the highest front case fan.

Didn't think to check if Lemmy had a CCW community, made this post on reddit but I would like some input from here as well.

Trying to figure out what to buy as an every day conceal carry pistol, and all the usual recommendations I found on here seem to be missing something.

XDM 3.8 has a fairly odd grip, (and I can barely get my pinky on it, somehow.) and it flares out at the bottom even more which to me seems like it would just show through a shirt. I was told removing that mag well and adding a pierce extension to the magazine would make it fit perfectly, not

Glock 29 seems fine mostly, a little thick everywhere but then you hold it and your pinky is just not on the grip at all. Again a mag extension was suggested to make it just barely longer. However Is that not too thick for concealing?

Smith M&P 10mm, the Sig Xten comp, comfy and decent capacity but could either of them be concealed even remotely well? They're tall and long, and not that much skinnier than the others. I can't picture in my head how some could be carried without just showing.

All of these I've gotten my (relatively small) hands on and nothing seems to fit. Do I have to modify them to make them work better? What am I missing?

And an honorable mention, someone mentioned a Witness P compact. Hammer fired and external safety is cool but unless I am reading something wrong it is the biggest of the bunch. Thoughts?

Please feel free to talk to me like an idiot. Just wanting to find the "right" one for me. Have shot 10mm before, never carried before.

Are those razor subscription services any good? The dollar shave clubs and Harry's and stuff like that? I've never really seen the point, seeing as a local dollar store has cheap razors in them in 5 packs. Am I missing out on something?

Edit: So what I am seeing from this is get a safety razor, or learn how to do a straight razor shave, and if for some reason I want to see what the "premium" option is like try delco. Alright, thanks for the tips!
