How many empty planes you've been on recently? I fly 4 or 5 times a year and rarely have an open seat next to me in eco+ much less regular economy. And if I do have space it's on a red-eye.

I agree. You can do both. Have the rules and build a meal into each night. Two separate actions.

A family meal is an accounted for expense. Restaurants are already ruthlessly low margins. This costs real money 🤷‍♂️.
