You are very right, it's just that saying "whoever invented the thing that's better than what was before is Satan" is kinda unfair to be people who fought for the 8/8/8 system. The focus should be onto whom hinder or even regress progress

    It's often hard to adapt already existing horizontal videos into vertical videos, but the current high prevalence of vertical video platforms create incentive to create better editing tricks. I personally am often surprised how they accommodate for these situations now a days

    I'm not very familiar with those services but are they not relying on YouTube, and therefore still YouTube in a way?

    edit before anyone argues, I know these alternative frontends bring many privacy advantages and many usability advantages (and disadvantages). But the content still comes from YouTube which is what my argument is about. I wouldn't say an alternative frontend (or client for that matter) is not using YouTube...

    my comment wasn't referencing any character or profile called content king as I don't know about them. It's more so referring to the fact that most people will go to where the most content is. There is no point in using other services if you aren't finding what you are looking for...

    yeah but if we incorporate Bluetooth in this discussion, then Bluetooth mice and keyboards suck for gaming just as much.

    I completely agree with you on that, though. It baffles my mind how, in 2023, in the version 5.2, Bluetooth still sucks so hard in terms of latency.
