Hi, I like the p2p model, I don't like the use of Google Firebase and Cloudflare services.

What is the difference with other p2p messengers, like Jami.net for exemple?

"The mechanism is the application of control. Instead of delivering services and software that unlocks value for their client industries, the software industry has spent the past decade or so trying to control their customers and their client industries. "

    Malheureusement très juste 😟

Hi there, I’m looking for a tool to create reports for a self-hosted Caldav calendar, or even a client-side tool.

Here is what I want to achieve:

    • I have a calendar where I write down events, such as my team meetings and work alone time.
    • I want to use a tool to sum the time used per day and per week.
    • The output should be easily copyable or exportable, so text output would be best.

    That’s all.

Do you know of a tool, script or service that can do this?

    Thank you!

Hi there, I'm looking for good software architecture resources: blog, wiki or community.

I know good enough the basis of OOP and 'Design Pattern' and I'm looking for something more advanced.

One of my goal is to create local first software but anything with network and web archi are welcome too. 🙂

[edit to add the resources] Thanks guys for your answers, there is a loooots of books!!

Hi there, I like KDE and also minimalism.

I try to decluter a bit my virtual desktop and I wonder how I can change the panels and widgets colors and transparency. In this example I would like to change the hour in the bottom right corner, the opacity of the background and the color of the text.

I searched "everywhere" in the menu without seeing something useful, I tried also the manual but they are not mentionning that.

Maybe it's not possible? But if it is, can you tell me how? Thank you :)

Hi there, I'm working on a new app with Vuejs 3 and I wonder what are the good practice to architecture the app and to handle guards, JWT token refresh, reactivity and not having spaghetti code.

I started with the basic Vuetify app and added Pinia and the vue-router. 🤠

One problem I want to solve is how to get the list to populate the first page with a list of objects, lets say a book list. Right now I created a store.books list and an action to call the API, according to the doc ( https://pinia.vuejs.org/core-concepts/actions.html ). But then I have to call the action when the user log in, or when the component is mounted, or when there is a refresh.

I found it not very DRY and just not smart, so I need some help and good doc to understand how to structure my app.

    Thank you 😌

An App by Google to test RCS protocol (android.googlesource.com)

Hi there, first I don't fully understand what is going on with RCS protocol.

Is it a new wallet garden for Google/Samsung/Apple or is it possibly a good move for secure and decentralized communication.

What do you think about this small test app and about the RCS protocol in general ? Is it worth to take a look ?
