Impressive that you were able to do any CAD on a 20yr old PC. Then yeah you sound like you would benefit from more ram though even at the pace that CAD has blown up in size, I also work in teac with CAD (NX/Creo) 64GB is sufficient. Even over the next 10 years that should be enough. As far as Firefox and other browsers in general they've added so much bloat I'm not surprised it's running out of memory. Good luck! And
What are you doing on a 10 year old PC that would necessitate 128GB of memory on the new one? 32GB should be sufficient when it comes to ram for most users. 64GB max. Even for the next 10 years.

They have a preset laundry list of commands that you can utilize. You can also make your own. It can take you into the weeds but it is possible. They also have modules that can provide you chatter. Some of them are voiced by popular Sci Fi actors!
I don't ask open questions unless I'm really really stuck. I utilize man pages ( manuals for a particular command) to get a feel for the surface level options then use my search fu. Doesn't have to be Google. There are plenty. And there is a plethora of sites out there with answers for just about any newbie questions you may need. The sometimes difficult part is deciphering what works and what doesn't (see below) Personally being able to RTFM and read what others have done I feel more accomplished than asking someone out there to help every time. What works for one user may or may not work for you.
One strong suggestion. For the particular task you are learning, keep a journal of what works and what doesn't . There are lots of ways to customize your system IF you want to. That being said there are plenty more ways to mess your system up. So having a log of what works allows you to do a fresh install and get you back to before you messed things up. OR make a back up of your current config, something like timeshift or the like, so it's even easier to get back to tinkering.
I will say that if your on a Windows PC Hcs Voice Packs could be your friend. Buddy of mine and I have been using a second PC and this app to multitask in SC and works very well. If you go any voice route make sure you train and keep training your voice recognition. Especially if you have impediments or an 'accent'.
