Our dear little lady Luna is two years old on Saturday.
(My initial name suggestions were “Juno” and “Omaha” as she was born on the eightieth anniversary of the Normandy landings - I knew men who were there. Luna was the third option I offered, and it’s the name that stuck.)
Always liked Lew Zealand (and his boomerang fish act). Not necessarily “favorite,” but few remember him…
Saturday is the opening of a weekly outdoor market nearby. Our Maine Coons went with us most weekends last year and became “local celebrities.” This year we’ll pile them in the stroller again, along with the third who joined us in November, and they’ll be off to meet their adoring public. Does me good to see how much joy they bring to people.

They’re Maine Coon Cats, in what we’ve learnt is a rather rare color - “blue silver shaded”. Luna is already fourteen pounds…
Our little man Nimbus (3 mo.) came home on Monday, and Luna (almost 13 mo.) seems to have jumped well into the “big sister” role. (Same parents, different year, or as I like to say “kitter from another litter”.)
