What's wrong with mac OS? It's been working for my developer laptops without any big issues for a decade.

Sure I prefer linux, but OSX is infinitely better than dealing with the BS I had to put up with when I worked in a .NET shop.

A functional terminal, docker works well with virtual networks, and brew exists.

Get some silicone sport bands for it (18mm)

PS, get the chain versions and not the ulock if possible, in test videos I watched it seemed like the chain versions were much more annoying for the angle grinder user. Angle grinders will cut through anything, but they're loud, and if you have a lock that takes more than 30 seconds to grind or 1 grinder disk, well why would the thief bother vs one of the easier targets?
