I've just switched to Pop_OS and so far I'm really impressed. Very fast, and Cosmic desktop has a totally different design and aesthetic to any other DE

There is a theory that if alien life exists, those organisms will be roughly our size. The reasoning is that you can't achieve advanced civilisation without fire, and you can't tend a fire if you're much smaller or larger than a human.

Not my theory, but an interesting thing to consider

The thing is, I'd love glasses with a private display. Imagine walking around a strange city with maps displayed in your vision, or giving a talk and having your notes in your view. Specs with screens! But why would I also want a camera? If I wanted to photograph something I can use my phone - perhaps using my SpecScreen as a viewfinder, sure, but the camera can happily live in my phone still. Basically, I'm worried the perverts are going to ruin glasses with HUDs for the rest of us. There must be dozens of us non-perverts, surely?

PHEV are also petrol cars. There's been at least two studies now showing that in the real world they're rarely plugged in, meaning not only are they burning oil, but they're burning extra oil to lug a battery and spare motor around

There are several roads near me where it's legal to walk - but where I know that walking would be extremely dangerous because of no footways, narrow carriageways and fast traffic. Is there a way to flag these that would help OSM-based routing services like Strava and Komoot stop recommending them? I know the local area well enough to ignore Strava when it suggests I run along these roads, but I fear for people who don't, and assume the route will be okay
